A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from friends or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a website hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of functions, but it’s astonishingly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be listed in this section alphabetically and you will just need to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the respective email address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as simple and takes one more click on the very same button.
